Techmunch New York City

I had the pleasure of attending and speaking at Techmunch NYC 2011 on the panel: How to Market your Blog and Turn it into a Brand/Business.

You can download a copy of the hand-out I created for the attendees and well as two other MUST HAVE pieces from other presenters.

All the panels and presenters were excellent. My panel: How to Market your Blog and Turn it into a Brand/Business ROCKED—Sassy, sexy and smart!

It was moderated by Nichelle Stephens, Co-Founder, Cupcakes Take the Cake

And my fellow panelists were:
David Leite, author of The New Portuguese Table and Publisher, Leite’s Culinaria
Cathy Erway, author of The Art of Eating In
Adam Salomone, Associate Publisher, The Harvard Common Press

I highly recommend Techmunch. It was chock full of valuable content. I loved that we were all together the entire day. It was go go go. I didn’t have time answer my phone all day.

I did have time to learn a whole bunch of new stuff, to hang out with lots of old friends and to meet a whole bunch of new people. It was intimate enough that I got to connect with people without feeling conference regret—not enough time to meet everybody.

They kept us well fed and watered. We were lucky to have food and beverages provided by Wichcraft, Robicellis, Jacques Torres, Driscoll’s Berries, Chobani, Danny’s Macarons, Brooklyn Gin, Brooklyn Brewery and more! Plus, twenty-five KitchenAid appliances were given away! It was cool to know so many winners!!  My head and my belly were full by the end of the day.

Techmunch is coming up in Boston in July and LA in the fall. Go!

Jackie, thank you for sharing so many nuggets of wisdom with us at TECHmunch! My main take-away from the day was something you said - I really need to figure out where I want to go… everything else will fall into place from there.

Margaret: I really wanted to give you guys something of VALUE—blogging is hard work and clarity about where you are going with it at least makes the hard work more worth it grin I’m thrilled it resonated. xxoojax
