When the Texas Beef Council wanted to create an outstanding marketing event for the Southwest Food Expo, they called Jackie Gordon, Singing Chef. Jackie created Seasons of Beef, an “eatertainment show” that promoted the consumption of Texas beef and the flavor-multiplying properties of umami, the sixth taste.
Jackie created “Seasons of Beef,” a live eatertainment show for the Texas Beef Council, at the Southwest Food Expo, in Dallas. One aim of the project was to teach people that beef has the sixth taste, umami, which is illustrated by this tune she wrote for the show.
