Chocolate & wine-tasting: The grape vs. the bean
Featuring six luxury chocolates and four specialty wines
Join us for a fun, interactive chocolate and wine pairing class at the Divalicious Chocolate! Café. Jackie Gordon, singing chef and owner, will co-host the class with Jean-Baptiste Humbert, of Wine Therapy, a Nolita boutique wine store that focuses on small producers of outstanding organic and specialty wines.
At this sit-down event, you will learn where chocolate comes from and how to taste like the experts as you pair six couverture chocolates from some of the world’s finest chocolate makers, such as El Rey, Valrhona, and Guittard, ranging from milk chocolate to an extra-bitter dark chocolate, with four hand-selected wines. You’ll also get a score sheet and rating scale to write down your thoughts and reactions to each pairing. Each table will be set with palate cleansers and water.
The event begins promptly at 6:30 PM and is limited to 16 guests.
