Concord Grape Syrup

A simple syrup made of Concord grapes and sugar to be used for drinks, dessert and even savory recipes.


  • 5 pounds stemmed concord grapes
  • 32 ounces water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 tsp kosher salt


  1. In a large, heavy-duty saucepan, combine grapes, water, sugar, and salt over a medium flame. Pulverized mixture lightly with an immersion blender.
  2. Cook mixture for 45 minutes. Pour the mixture through a strainer, scraping it with a rubber spatula until all that’s left is the seeds and a little pulp. Discard the seeds.
  3. Store in the refrigerator or freeze.
